What is the 3500PLUS System?
The 3500PLUS System from BE-Combi is an innovative solution for entrepreneurs looking for maximum payload without a C-driver's license. In essence, the 3500PLUS System turns a light commercial vehicle into a short-coupled tractor-trailer combination.
It combines the driving behaviour of a light commercial vehicle with the capacity of a truck – ideal for urban distribution and efficient transport.
The system consists of:
- A light commercial vehicle with dual-wheel rear-wheel drive
- A special subframe with a fifth wheel coupling, mounted on the vehicle
- A 3500PLUS Trailer: a single-axle semi-trailer with a mounted box body
Together they form a compact combination with a gross vehicle weight of 7,000 kg, which can be driven with a BE driving license. The cargo box has a maximum length of 5.5 meters. The net payload is between 2,500 and 3,000 kg.

Thanks to its short-coupled design, the 3500PLUS System offers excellent maneuverability and ride comfort comparable to a light commercial vehicle. At the same time, you benefit from a load capacity normally only achievable with a truck.
